A PROPOSAL

To amend section 11 of article XI of the Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia to provide that, in rendering a decision, a court shall consult and apply sources from the Federated States of Micronesia.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION:

     That the following amendment be made to section 11 of article XI of the Constitution of the Federated States of Micronesia:

"SECTION 11.  Court decisions shall be consistent with this Constitution, Micronesian customs and traditions, and the social and geographical configuration of Micronesia.  In rendering a decision, a court shall consult and apply sources of the Federated States of Micronesia."
